I’ll start by thanking you in general for even being on this list whether you’re paid or free, your support means a lot.
You may recall that I’ve been trying to sort out the paid subscriptions and general benefits for a while now and I’ve come up with a new plan.
The NEW monthly paid rate is now £3.50, which irritatingly is the lowest I’m allowed to set it - I didn’t realise that, pretty annoying, but it’s better than £7 and defo cheaper than a coffee!
If you’re already a subscriber you DO NOT get grandfathered in at the lower rate, which I agree is a ball ache, but that’s Substack. If you want to lower it to £3.50 you’ll have to cancel your subscription and resubscribe to paid. I’m not going to be offended if you do that! 😂
I appreciate the support, but I’m trying to save you money.
So I’ll lay out here what you get for each level.

The Scroll - Daily - Each morning Sin Eaters Guild founder, Gaz, scrolls his X timeline and picks out posts and topics to comment on. It’s not meant to be a course in geopolitics, it’s just his observation, you may not agree and it may not align with other SEG community members. Sometimes serious, sometimes funny.
Horizon Scan - Weekly in video and audio- Gaz and fellow ex British Paratrooper Hugh, discuss what’s been going on in the World that week. We are not experts, we are often wrong, but sometimes insightful. Expect a lay view of events with humour and community in jokes, it’s like chatting with friends.
Discounted Sin Eaters Guild and Horizon Scan Clothing - As a paid subscriber you’ll get 5% off each time. Yeah it’s not loads, but it’s an easy way of getting your subscription fee and probably more, back. The code will have no use limit and we ask you to keep it to yourself. We can obviously check if people using it are still paid subscribers, so don’t get caught out. You Are Your Actions and all that 👀
Access to the WhatsApp Group - It’s a WhatsApp group you actually want to be added to! Full of good people from all backgrounds who know how to talk to each other like adults and don’t throw their teddies if they disagree, very refreshing. It’s a good network to be part of as all in there are living the SEG ethos, know how hard that is and want to help others do it also.

Custom Clothing - We have a system on the SEG website where we can have private products that the public can’t see, only those who have a specific password. We use this to create custom designs for people like SF and CTSFO units as well as other organisations who don’t want their designs available to the public. These units have an minimum order quantity to get something made.
As part of your subscription I’m happy to make one off or bulk versions of shirts that’ll sit on the site only visible to this level of subscriber. There’s a level of suck it and see with this, but for example if there’s a combination of design that we don’t have, Hanged Man full front print instead of back or you are your actions down the arm of a long sleeve T for example, I’d be happy to put that on the site for you in whatever non standard colour versions you want. You’d still be paying for the gear, but this is a more bespoke purchasing experience. I’m open to any other reasonable suggestions that are workable alongside the daily functioning of SEG.SEG Challenge Coin - We’ve only ever given these out on merit in the past, there’s very few in circulation, certainly under 15. We get requests all the time to buy them and turn that down as they should mean something. However the level of financial support you’ve just given I think it’s reasonable to show appreciation by posting you out one of these rare coins. It’s not like they’re gold or anything, but they were made to commemorate the founding of SEG and feature elements relevant to where I was at SFSG when I came up with the idea originally. Only SEG ambassadors, very close friends and members of my old team at work have them.
NOT-A-CULT WhatsApp group - Expect the numbers in there to be pretty low, so in effect this is likely to be a direct access to Gaz and he’ll treat it as such priority wise. You can obviously join the other gruoup also.
