Updates to subscriptions and benefits
Firstly thanks to all those who filled in the survey, it’s given me a few surprises but it’s helped show me what people actually want and to switch up the subscription tiers to offer a bit more than previously, based off that.
So here’s the breakdown and then I’ll waffle a bit more about why I’ve done what I’ve done.
Free Tier:
All Horizon Scan Episodes in audio and video.
Monthly Paid Tier: (now £7 per month - current subscribers are grandfathered in at £6 - don’t flap)
All Horizon Scan episodes in audio and video.
All written posts.
Can suggest topics for Horizon Scan or written posts.
Access to new WhatsApp group.
Yearly Paid Tier: (£70 per year - current subscribers are grandfathered in) - 17% saving.

Can suggest topics for Horizon Scan or written posts.
Access to new WhatsApp group.
NOT A CULT TIER: (£400 per year - works out at about £33 a month)

So firstly let me just say that I’m turbo uncomfortable with most of the above, particularly the NOT A CULT tier, but that level of access etc was requested, I’m fairly sure no one will use it, but it’s there.
The WhatsApp groups
These are meant to be places for the likeminded to communicate, for accountability, to inspire and network with each other with a level of privacy. It’s also a good communication means for those people who are moving away from your standard social media. Yes WhatsApp is a Meta product, it’s not ideal but as it stands more people have WhatsApp integrated into their daily lives that Signal and Telegram, if that changes then so will we. I’ll drop the links to these groups to current subscribers in a separate email and we’ll go from there.

Thank you to everyone who has read and listened over the previous 12 months, I truly appreciate the support. This update to the subscriptions will enable me to put more time into what we put out here, leading to a better result for everyone - including fixing the sound!
As we say pretty much every week on Horizon Scan, these are strange times we’re living through and the result of that means people like us have more responsibility than ever before, even if we thought our days of service were over. That’s not easy This network is meant to ease the load, there’s safety in numbers.
