Morning, good feedback from Horizon Scan yesterday, thanks for watching.
I’d love to have watched this meeting. Even Starmermong knows which way the wind is blowing for Trump, even if it’s not blowing the same way for him!
As I said in the WhatsApp group late last night, I’m cutting the timescale of my Starmer exit prediction from 12 months. I’d say it’s now in the weeks at the max unless there’s a miracle, could even be days, but I think the backroom maneuvering will be so prolonged due to there being no obvious replacement that it’d drag to at least a week even if the decision was already made. I say this for a few reasons, the first being the most obvious, his and Labour’s public sentiment numbers have crashed hard ever since they were elected. He’s handled important events badly and gives the perception at least in his presentation that he has a disdain for the public. His ministers have been shown repeatedly to be engaged in exactly the same head in the trough behaviour that they’ve spent years criticising the Tories for. Now to those of us who are realists, we understand this is going to happen, we don’t like it particularly but this is what politicians do. Why this matters is that Labour advertised themselves to the electorate, many of who have never lived as an adult under a Labour government, as being different, it was their main selling point seeing as they were devoid of policy. ‘We don’t do that kind of thing, it’s the greedy Tories and their big business connections who do that’. It’s been a rude awakening for many and they’re now suffering real buyers remorse. They’re also making simple errors because they’ve come from years of having the press, who were also desperate to remove the Tories, treating them as comrades fighting the same battle. They’re not used to real scrutiny and they’re being found out consistently. Two simple examples of this just yesterday.
This article includes reference to a £10 billion deal that brings AI investment into the UK and elsewhere he’s claimed responsibility for it, but it was negotiated under Rishi Sunaks leadership. It also leaves out all the realistic elements of being an ‘AI superpower’, like having reliable and cheap energy with the excess available to run AI infrastructure, something the UK is so far away from it’s tragic. Taking advantage of public ignorance of that fact is a lie in public.
Guess what, they’ve ‘delivered’ none of those 5 things, they’ve merely either spoken about them as being things they’d like to do, or they are still going through the legal processes to see if they’re allowed. Delivered means I have the thing, not that I’m flicking through the catalogue choosing my options. In both cases they were destroyed in the comments and community noted by X - It’s a B team on the front bench at best, they’re just not up to this level, see -do you know I’m black - Lammy at the UN, pitiful. The public see all of this and they feel short changed and embarrassed.
The thing the press will not let go of now is Starmers ministers and their connections to one man in particular, Lord Alli, a Labour life peer. The list appears endless of the money and favours given by this man, so it’s fair to ask what is he getting in return? Well we know for a start he’s been given free access to Number 10 by Sue Grey, coincidently after he gave her son £10k to help his campaign as he was parachuted into a Labour seat. He’s also been buying clothes for Stamer and his wife. The real hook for the press though is when it comes to a penthouse apartment owned by Alli that’s been made available to Starmer and his family. Initially it was apparently so that his son could study in peace for his GCSE’s, despite the timeline not really working for that. Now it appears that it was used repeatedly during Covid for Starmer to make his public addresses from, despite that being against Covid regulations. There is also some kind of legal issue with the way it was declared that to be honest I’ve not tracked fully, but it sounds like it’s potentially a drama. There are other rumblings that may come out in the new couple of days, that there’s a lot more to what’s been going on at the flat, but as with many of these things backroom shenanigans might save him from them being public.
The point I’m making with all of this is that much of the above can be stopped or minimised if the right people say ‘that’s enough’, but that isn’t happening and that’s notable. The opposite is true, someone is saying ‘hit them again’. The press are going after Starmer in particular, which tells you that there’s realisation behind the scenes that this has been an awful start for Labour and there’s a belief that the simplest thing to do is attempt a regain by getting rid of someone who's been shown to be incredibly unpopular with the public, so just tie it around his neck and get a new face. Labour’s issue is that they don’t have an obviously better candidate to take over, theoretically it should be Rayner or Lammy, both have nice ticks in the box - first woman leader of the Labour party, or first black leader, but unfortunately they’re both complete shite. The best you’ll get is Rayner in if Starmer has to resign, while they run a leadership contest. That contest would be where we’ll see who the power is behind the scenes by looking at the candidates. The scariest possible option isn’t someone fully backed by Blair and obedient to him, as you know at least if that’s the case there will be creeping competence instead the state we’re in - we just won’t like any better what the policies are because they’d still be globalist. Basically rape by a really hot chick with skills, instead of Diane Abbott. Optics are better, but it’s still something terrible happening to you against your will. The scariest version is that Alli knows where enough bodies are buried and has bought himself enough influence to enable someone he’s very close with, someone currently running London. That’s the true burn it all down option, but I think it’s pretty unlikely in the short term, mainly because he’s more despised by most of Britain than Starmer is and he’s only just started a new term.
It’s not impossible though.
That’ll have to be it today, we’ve had the power off this morning.
It’s Friday, make your plans!
Rather have lammy locked in no10 than masticating crap all over the world !! This country is screwed 😡😡
