Greetings, what will the feed bring us today!
The guy I’ve tagged in the reply here is the Dr Nick that Hugh has had on his H-Hour podcast a couple of times now, very good dude and you should watch the chats he’s had with Hugh. We had a back and forth a few days ago about this film as Nick couldn’t understand why they made such an awful sequel when the first was so popular. I couldn’t make it through the first one, I just found it upsetting, I have no idea why. My take was that they accidently made a film that was popular with a large proportion of men and who got an unintended message from it. So when it came to making the sequel Hollywood did everything they could to ruin it in the eyes of that audience, in what is basically a demoralisation exercise. We can take the things you love and destroy them. Although Nick is from a crypto background and therefore understands all the dystopian potential for the world we’re heading to and actively tries to educate against it, he’s still a very sensible head - as in, he won’t go to places as quickly because he doesn’t want to believe something is that bad. Despite me saying orderwise, he didn’t want to believe that Hollywood would burn millions just to conduct a psychological and emotional punishment exercise against fans of the first film, then today the Director admits the truth. The entertainment industry is almost completely captured and films/series which do not perform some kind of social programming aligned with the current themes propagated by the social justice and grievance grifters, are incredibly hard to get funding for and so we just don’t see them made. How many franchises have we seen remade or sequels made for them that undermine or otherwise ruin the things we originally loved about them. Star Wars is dead, Lord Of The Rings might as well be and they’re now extending it to games, with Halo next on the list. It’s not accidental and there is more than just group think and hiring the wrong people behind it. How else can these industries afford to make huge losses repeatedly and completely ignore their audience for 10+ years? Often even rigging review scores and berating fans for criticising the end product. You can only take these repeated 100 million plus dollar loses if your budget is subsidised by someone with infinitely deep pockets, to the point that any profit is incidental, the target demoralisation is the payoff.
