Morning, I hope you’ve got something decent planned for the weekend.
On the whole I’d say this is true. I’m not a big fan of doing the left and right thing, as in identifying with the ‘side’ yourself, joining the team etc. The problem with doing that is you end up having to take anything that’s associated with that side in the public consciousness with you. Not by personal choice, but because of what’s expected by those who do define themselves with those pre-made positions. ‘Oh, you’re on the left are you? You must be supportive of reparations’, when they may not be at all. It’s a natural thing for us to do, but I’m just wary of it. I think it’s far better to know what you believe, be willing to revisit that often and act in the way you feel best in each situation informed by that. If someone tells you that that puts you in a particular political bucket, whatever. Some practices do indeed seem to be associated with particular beliefs and personal qualities though. This may not always have been the case, but it appears to be trending in that direction. For context Travis is discussing why the Harris campaign is not convincing young men to vote for her, why can’t her message reach them? We understand that already, the extract I dropped in the Scroll last week laid it all out in a passionate way. As I said at the start I think the quote from Bronze Age Mindset - which you should read - is pretty accurate. Young men (and all men really) want a mission, something to live for and they want adventure. They want to feel like they can have an impact on the world around them, to be part of something bigger than themselves. They have yet to become jaded by the constant nagging, distractions and failures of the modern world, they still have fire. In years past a young man with drive and capability truly was able to become a force of nature and create his own path, often meeting a spectacular early end, but also often changing nations and continents. Those in power realised this log ago and have sought to put that fire out as early as possible. Our young men (girls too of course but in a different way) are propagandised in school, berated for displaying the natural qualities they cannot control, then when entering the workplace are beaten down by HR drones each day of their life until they are broken spiritually. Even in down time they are not allowed to seek male companionship without their daily dose of long housing creeping into those spaces. In a world like this a young man yearns for something he has control of, something he can build as he wishes it without being told no. This is why they turn to themselves as the raw material to shape their creation. The longhouse has no power over picking up steel in the Sun. There are downstream effects of this that those who would see young men spiritually castrated, fear. Conduct harsh physical training and you will realise there is a direct path between your actions and results. You will understand that the mental fight to instil discipline in yourself is a worthwhile one that in this pathetic populace is a super power. It becomes obvious to you that excuses and blaming other people or circumstances is a waste of time and that if you truly want something, you can overcome all of them. Achievements you once thought out of your reach come and go more regularly, perhaps the only limit to what you can accomplish is you and your choices? This is all the complete antithesis of what the ‘thought leaders’ of modern society deem a young mans future to be. The weak men fear the strong men, but the weak men are infinitely more dangerous and corrosive to society. So in desperation those young men who have found the way of sun and steel - which really only translates to a way of having a fulfilled existence, pure evil to deny them that - realise they are not alone and over time that creates change that threatens the current spiral of societal decline.
