Evening, the weekend is here and so is the nightmare of Black Friday and all that. There’s basically no escaping it as a business now, customers expect it so SEG has had to lean in this year. Not great but it is what it is. BF15 until Monday if you fancy a bargain. Anyway..
Nice result and the correct attitude. I’m not saying ignore Doctors, I’m saying they don’t know you and what you’re capable of. They have to cater to average at best, but most likely dross. My own lesser version of this is that in 2003 I snapped my leg in two, Tib & Fib a couple of inches above the ankle, it was nasty. If you’ve seen those videos of kickboxers having kicks blocked, their leg snapping and then them putting their weight back on and it twists and right angles, that’s exactly what I did. I was kicking a mate, drunk. I had it pinned and the Doctors told me I’d never run again because of how it had broken. 3 years later I had the pin out and 2 after that I was in SFSG tabbing around with the SAS. You decide what’s possible.
Safetyism is the language of the weak and timid, the loser. Having to be careful about something, does not make it stupid. Understanding risk (and reward) and acting appropriately to overcome any danger with skill and knowledge is why humans made it this far. If there is something positive to take away from the current moment, it is that the vibe shift is firmly on a trajectory away from these feeble types who in the past would be sat in a cave waiting to starve or get eaten by wolves, whilst we’re eating a lovely tallow fried turkey in the valley over the mountain they were to scared to join the journey to.
