Morning, the feed is complete misery and probably nothing you’re unaware of if you’re online at all, so I’ll write something instead.
The UK is currently facing a significant challenge as we seem to be moving towards tyranny. I know that sounds like a huge exaggeration, but put your desire for that not to be the case aside and imagine you’re looking at another country. We're witnessing rising authoritarianism, erosion of civil liberties, and power consolidation in the hands of a socialist managerial class, backed by moronic metro-liberal elite, with sympathies lying internationally, and with the longterm desire to create a permanent serf class, to replace the native working class. – warning signs that have appeared throughout history before societies undergo radical change. Somehow the UK has shifted starkly left just as Europe begins the shift to the right.
In America, after four years of completely embracing the madness of the woke left, the rise of right-leaning tech oligarchs such as Elon Musk and David Sacks aligning themselves with Donald Trump is not an endorsement of his entire political agenda. Rather, they see him as a means to disrupt the stagnant Uni-Party system that has dominated politics for years, Trump is not the future. They're using their platforms to accelerate progress, promote innovation, and leverage technology to solve humanity's problems – much like we've always done throughout history, the attitudes that built Western civilisation. Obviously they’re going to make a shit tonne of money too. They can see where the road is going and will position themselves appropriately, as you would. They themselves are also not the destination, just the forging of a path away from what we’ve become.
Moreover, these tech oligarchs have a broader vision for the future, one that transcends traditional left vs right politics. Instead, it's becoming clear that the new battle lines are being drawn (and this is throughout the West) between globalism and nationalism/personal sovereignty, with nationalism not necessarily referring to existing states, but the potential for new ones. This shift is not only inevitable but also essential for humanity's progress, as it allows us to address the unique challenges of the 21st century. You are alive at the start of the tipping point, it’s going to be a ball ache, but also exciting, if you’re prepared for it.
Back in the UK the Labour Party has transformed from its original purpose as the party of workers into an entity driven by liberal metro elites.
